Nevertheless, through FSO’s efforts to se- cure grants and sponsorships, the organization is sowing seeds of music throughout the region to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The “ FSO Music Education Programs” is an outreach helping to supplement music ed- ucation at public schools, which operate on lean budgets. Jody Chaffee, a professional musician with the FSO, and a licensed Music K-12 teacher, visits schools in one week units throughout the Firelands District to enhance students music ex- perience.
You may want to encourage your grandchild to pursue music; or you may want to dust off your instrument or your dreams of someday playing an instrument. Maybe in a duo endeavor you learn music together with your grandchild.
