The incomparable Diana Ross is per- forming on our North Coast this month. To many of us Motown lovers of the 50+gen- eration, Ms. Ross continues to be the mu- sic industry’s classiest diva-ever. She will grace the stage of Northfield’s Rocksino July 31 with her glamorous presence and a voice like no other, belting out hit after timeless hit.
August brings a broad range of “take me back” concerts for lakeshore ba- by-boomers with Paul McCartney at “The Q”, Chicago at the Rocksino, Kiss at Tole- do’s Huntington Center, and Janet Jackson at “The Q”. Marblehead Summerfest July 22-24
James Park in historic downtown Marblehead will be the setting for the Marblehead Summerfest, sponsored by St. Joseph Church Choir. This much-awaited family-fun festival features ten to twelve carnival rides, a midway of games, various vendors, food (including Lake Erie Perch, brats and sauerkraut, pulled pork, hot dogs, pierogi, French fries, nachos, funnel cakes, cotton candy, hand-dipped corn dogs, taffy, and more), a bake sale, hourly raffles, and a
beer tent with live entertainment. Other activities will feature kids’ fun with prizes for the winners of each event. A perfect summer
festival for the entire family!
