The week of August 6-12, The Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center, Lake Erie Islands Conservancy and Put-in- Bay Township Park District will sponsor Is- land Green Week on Middle Bass and Put- in-Bay islands.
What is Island Green Week, exactly? It’s all about appreciating and enjoying na- ture on our beautiful Erie Islands—water, kayaking, caves, moonlit nights, camping, island wines, cozy cottages and more. Ex- perience a taste of the unique wine cul- ture, an island-style pig roast, kayaking a Great Lake, and a dedication of the newest lakefront nature preserve on Put-in-Bay. See wildlife, flora and fauna. Sail on a me- teor shower cruise, and by special invita- tion explore, tour and hike island places people would not normally see.
