In Memory of the “Jack-of-all-Trades”- Keith Addy

Keith Addy, a man of many talents and past Lakeside Vice President of Arts Programming, impacted many, prior to his passing in 2019. Friends and family offer stories of humor, hard work, and a strong affection for the area.
“He loved sharing the Ottawa County shores and islands with others ... elevating it to the next level,” said Amy Addy Skolnik, Keith’s daughter and now a year- round Lakesider.
From Coshocton County and a Muskingum College graduate, Keith taught middle school math, worked in personnel, was a bank president and owned a woodworking/furniture refinishing busi-
ness prior to visiting Lakeside as a camp counselor
with his wife, Gwen. The experience led to reloca-
tion, and Keith took on a critical role in develop-
ing Lakeside’s programming. During 30+ years in Lakeside, he took on many responsibilities, including marketing, seasonal staffing and Interim Executive Director. Post retirement, Keith greeted visitors at the gates, was honored as July 4th Grand Marshall, and restored the Hoover Auditorium information desk, an icon of the entertainment venue he’d spent years promot-
ing.“Keith was a jack-of-all-trades who did just about every-
thing, at some point, to keep Lakeside moving forward,” said Shirley Stary, current VP, Arts Programming. “He was a great mentor and friend, and I miss him dearly.”
