Norwalk is known as “The Maple City” thanks to founding father Platt Benedict who orchestrat- ed the planting of hun- dreds of maple saplings along the main streets of the city in the mid 1880’s. The seat of Huron Coun- ty government, the com- munity of over 17,000 has a charming, walkable central downtown.

tradition of delicious food and incredible music. Featuring casual upscale dining, there’s some- thing for everyone. Stop by to view their beauti- ful 1887 stained glass windows acquired in 1978 from Gardiner Music Hall.
Norwalk Fabric Outlet has been a go to place for upholstery and drapery fabrics and accesso- ries like trims and seat cushion foam since 2002. With customers all over Ohio, owner Beverly Boguszewski describes it as a destination. “If you have something worth saving, it’s worth re-do- ing.”
The Creamettes Antique Emporium is a multi-dealer shop, carrying everything from pottery to furniture. With something for every- one, owner Mary Anne Claus says they do spe- cial events like high teas, relaxation massages and jewelry sales events to encourage customers to visit often.
When Pigs Fly and When Pigs Fly Too are unique shops with a single purpose. Proceeds from the stores are donated to the Piggyback Foundation which assists local families with chil- dren experiencing hardships. Founded by Lisa
