The Sandusky County Historic Painted Barn Trail ties in with a statewide trail being established by Ohio History Connection. With the statewide trail, a barn in each of the 88 counties in Ohio will be painted with an historic theme specific to that county.

Hasselbach Meats recently participated in the Ohio Association of Meat Processors convention in Columbus.
During their meeting industry members had a hands on session at the Ohio State meat science lab, trade show exhibits, and educational sessions pertaining to their businesses.
The meeting also featured the members’ competition for homemade products. Hasselbach took the Grand Champion award for their BBQ baby back ribs. They also were recognized as a Champion for their hickory smoked bacon and summer sausage; received first place for smoked turkey and smoked brisket; and won the specialty class with their bacon wrapped chicken breast.
