Marie’s Apple Crisp a la Mode
13x9 pan- 350 degrees
Ingredients:
16 Granny Smith apples
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice Sprinkle of cinnamon
The crumble topping:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1/2 brown sugar
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Hot fudge or Hershey’s chocolate Carmel topping
French vanilla ice cream Aerosol whipped cream Maraschino cherry
Directions:
Peel, core and very thinly slice apples, (I use slicer blade on food processor) put into a plastic container and add lemon juice and sugar to the apples. Put apples into refrigerator and let them make their own juice. I wait about two hours and then put the apples into a 13x9 pan with juice made from apples. Put flour and butter into a me- dium bowl. Use a pastry blender and blend until little flour, butter balls are formed. Add brown

sugar, and spread evenly over apples. Sprinkle top with cinnamon to taste. Bake for 20-25 min. on 350 until apples are bubbly. Cut into portions and place into a dessert bowl. Warm apple crisp in microwave for 1 min. adding hot fudge and car- amel to taste. Add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and a little more chocolate and carmel. Top off with some whipped cream and a cherry. Get ready for a big sugar fix!!
