Of Ala Carte After Hours, Port Clinton

The Ala Carte Café in downtown Port Clinton has long been a townie go-to for a home-cooked breakfast or lunch. The cozy little diner, known for its freshly brewed coffee and generous por- tions of hearty food, has recently expanded into the adjoining building, where the Ala Carte After Hours dining experience awaits customers. Plenty of flatscreens, comfortable seating, a cozy bar and pool tables welcome those who want a night out, leaving the cooking to Chef Felica Workman.
“The kitchen by far is my safe place”, says Chef Felica. “I love bringing joy to someone’s day by exciting his or her palate. I want my food to always be more than just a
full stomach—I want my food to be an experience people will never forget.”
Under her supervision, the Ala Carte After Hours kitchen cranks out a full menu of crowd-pleasers that are traditional as well as unique. Appetizers include crispy pork belly, sweet waffle fries, pierogies, traditional wings and spicy cauliflower bites. • Where from originally? Florida’s gulf
coast. My teenage years were spent in Port Clinton, then I left for 18 years, returning to P.C.
• Hobbies, pastimes: Traveling, camping, boating, puzzles and cooking for friends and family. Always up for adventure!
• Family, pets: I have 3 biological children, Nathan, Eric and Breonna. I have many outside of them that call me Mom, Aunt, and Mamaw. I am in a committed, very happy relationship. Our hairless cat, Baby has her own Instagram and has a whole story of her own!
