A Revitalized Sandusky Waterfront
Welcomes Visitors Year Around

Over the past five years, the City of Sandusky downtown waterfront area has undergone a revitalization that has attracted national attention. Starting in 2016, residents and business people met with city officials and planners to develop the Sandusky

City officials, more than $100 million in public and private investment has taken place. The efforts have included the opening of a new City Hall in the middle of downtown in 2019 and the Jackson Street Pier and Shoreline Drive in 2020.
In the midst of all these improvements, Sandusky was named the “2019 Best Coastal Small Town in America” by the readers of USA Today.
During this planning process, it was evident that people believed the Sandusky waterfront had great untapped potential. As a result, both the city and private businesses made waterfront redevelopment a priority. Since then, according to the
