The owner wanted the lighthouse to have a home on the shore once again, a goal which led to the development of the Port Clinton Lighthouse Conservancy. The group worked for years to restore the structure, which now sits on the shore- line.
Visitors can climb the wooden stairs, see the Fresnel lens up close, and walk on the gallery deck.
The members of the conservancy are not resting on their laurels just yet – the next goal is to build a replica of the keeper’s boathouse and improve the landscape of the nearby Derby Pond.

Huron Playhouse On Hiatus
