Chef Corey Brandon And Chef Easton Jimenez
Of The Goat Soup and Whiskey
By JD Noll, Features and Food Writer
It’s a funny name for a restaurant. With a dog that looked and behaved like a goat and a menu of only soup for four years, the popular restau- rant in snowy Colorado was named “The Goat.” Now, in its 12th year here, native Ohioans, own- ers Scott and
Caroline
Koehler Jackson
have the per-
fect second
location at Put-
in-Bay. It’s nes-
tled between
a church and
a winery in
the former
Dailey’s Tavern
and Coopers
Restaurant. The
Jacksons divide
their time sea-
sonally between
the two restau-
rants. The Goat
is off the beaten
path of down-
town Put-in-Bay. Scott says, “We offer an oasis to the busy, busy scene. The Goat Soup and Whiskey is an oasis from downtown.”
