the FSO, started her new position on June 10 – the day the theater was damaged. She said one thing that drew her to the orga- nization was the fact that people were open-minded about the types of music and where they would perform. That flexibility became a huge asset in the months that fol- lowed.
The orchestra has been trying new ways to share music with the audiences. Through the early autumn, small groups performed at local wineries, and at Lakeside. “We’ve been trying to do performances wherever and whenever we can,” she said. “Some other outdoor venues have approached us for when spring comes around, and next summer. We’re going to try to have things outside as much as we can.”
They’re trying to find a way to record performances. “As soon as we know some- thing is going to go forward, we will post in on our website and our Facebook page.”
