“When you see kids on a daily basis, you know a lot of them need direction. Being a school counselor was an avenue to help. With my years in education, I see the necessity for recognizing kids,” concluded Dave, of his continued volunteerism. “I think a lot of times students don’t get the recogni- tion they deserve.”
While at Danbury, Dave coached football,
swimming, and track, and he still enjoys boating, fitness activities,
and OSU
football.
He and
his wife
Dee, also
a retired educator,
are involved
in their church
and are devoted to Zeke, their yellow Lab.
