foundation’s concept, encouraging Lisa to open a store as a more consistent source of income for the ever increasing number of applicants. Today, that store generates 50% of their funding. The remainder comes from personal and corporate donations, grants and fundraisers. “The community gives to the shop, the shop gives to the community and the foundation gives back to the community,” Lisa emphasizes.
Volunteers include local students.
