Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit At Liberty Aviation Museum
Dr. Harold Brown of Catawba has recently released “Keep Your Airspeed Up, The Story of a Tuskegee Airman.” The autobiography is co-authored with his wife, Dr. Marsha Bordner.
The couple will also be involved with “Rise Above” Tuskegee Airmen Traveling Exhibit which will come to Liberty Aviation Museum east of Port Clinton September 20-23. The exhibit includes, weather permitting, the display of a WWII P-51 Red Tail Mustang. Visit www.redtail.org.

Daly’s Pub Presents State Of Comedy
Daly’s Pub presents State of Comedy at the Sandusky State Theatre Friday, October 6, 2017 at 8 PM featuring Chris Smith and headliner Mike Conley.
Chris Smith is known as “The Ultimate Road Comic” for his willingness to perform on the road nearly 250 days a year every year.
Mike Conley has been performing throughout the Midwest since 1990.

Batterton To Serve As Curator
Connie Batterton has been selected to serve as Curator of the Catawba Island Historical Society’s Union Chapel Museum when it officially opens in 2018. She brings more than 3 decades of antiquities experience to the position.
As Museum Curator, Batterton will report to the Society’s nine member Board of Directors. She will be responsible for supervising collections, planning exhibits, overseeing volunteer activities, and maintaining membership/donation records.
Batterton grew up in the Cleveland area. She has a BA in Geology and a minor in Education from the College of Wooster. Area residents are invited to meet her at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 2 when the Catawba Island Historical Society hosts the last of its 2017 Cultural Speaker Series at the Catawba Island Township Community Hall.
