One of the most popular events held in Fre- mont’s historic district is the enhanced Farmers’ Market. Beyond fresh produce, arts and crafts, and baked goods, the enhanced experience in- cludes music, car shows or cultural events, food trucks, a variety of vendors, and often DORA. “We can have between 5,000 and 8,000 peo- ple attending these enhanced markets, and that type of foot traffic greatly helps our downtown merchants and businesses,” Kristie points out. She also cites the “Think Fremont” Community Card as a “super cool”, versatile and easy way to support local. “It can be purchased online and emailed to anyone for use at over 35 participat- ing locations downtown. It puts money back into our community. Super cool!”
