Summer Verandah Concerts At Hayes
Each event begins with an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Donations are accept- ed for the ice cream. Perfor- mances then start at 7 p.m.
The audience is asked to maintain 6 feet of phys- ical distance between their household group and other audience members. Audi- ence members also should wear face coverings when not sitting with their house- hold group.
The 2021 Verandah Concert schedule:
June 9 – Fostoria Lake Plains Barbershop Chorus, performing vocal music
June 23 – Nostalgia, a vocal ensemble performing
Matthew Ball, aka “The Boogie Woogie Kid” is one of the performers this summer at free Verandah Concerts at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont.
A string band, a boogie piano player and vocalists performing songs from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s are among the performers featured this summer during the Veran- dah Concert series at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont.
The popular concerts
take place twice a month on Wednesdays on the verandah of the historic home of 19th U.S. Pres- ident Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating on the expansive lawn. Admis- sion is free.
