It’s that wonderful time of year when our biggest problem, en- tertainment-wise, is having too many good choices. Weekly and monthly free concerts and events are in full swing, as well as fairs and festivals across the region.

I plan to go to at
least one concert at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside. I don’t know much about classical music, but I know I enjoy it – and there is a wide variety of nationally-known acts if I’m in the mood for a different type of music, theatre, or comedy. One of my favorite activities in Lakeside is quite simple. I love to walk around and admire the gardens.
In the last calendar, I mentioned The Listening Room ap- pearance of Steven Page, formerly of the Barenaked La- dies. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update on his return – but if you’re interested, check the venue’s website. I’ve been told that Page plans to return, but nothing is set as of press time.
Enjoy the summer – and don’t forget to take a walk out- side!
