you can visit one of the many locations in down- town Port Clinton that will be celebrating these two holidays. You could even celebrate both your Irish and Mexican heritage on the same day!
This year, high schools and colleges decided not to hold traditional gradu- ation ceremonies. Class of 2020 grads are invited to toss their caps in the air at
the Meals on Madison Area downtown at 3 p.m. They are asked to wear their caps and gowns.
Arbor Day is normally commemorated on the last Friday in April. Port Clin- ton has been designated as Tree City USA for decades and will celebrate that dis- tinction at 5 p.m. at Water- works Park.
At 8 p.m., you’ll want to be at the Derby Pond to
see more than 1,000 rub- ber ducks when the Unit- ed Way In Ottawa County holds its 2020 Incredible Rubber Duck Race. You can sponsor one of the ducks and cheer it on to victory. The Port Clinton Fire Department plays an important role in this event by chasing the duck- ies across the pond with a fire hose. Want to sponsor a duck? Call United Way
Saturday will kick- off with places of worship ringing their bells for 10 minutes all over the city at 9 a.m. to celebrate the reopening of religious ser- vices.
You can finally get your chance to take the kids or grandkids to see the Easter Bunny at 10 a.m. An Eas-
ter Egg Hunt will be held at Lakeview Park for kids up to 10 years old.
The Walleye Festival is one of the most popular sum- mer events in Port Clinton. It is impossible to include all of the activities and booths that people enjoy at the festival in one day. So, one of its most popular bands, The Junk,
