come join other movie buffs for some free family-friend- ly entertainment on the silver screen.
Thanks to the Hancock – Wood Co. Electric Co-op the family oriented 12th Annual Kelleys Island Film Fest will once again be showing box offices smashes for free! Movies will be shown both indoors and outdoors on Friday through Sunday, July 27-29.
“They do a good job with the event and we are hap- py to be able to help them provide an affordable night out with the family,” Leslie Guisinger, Communica- tions Coordinator of the major sponsor Hancock - Wood Co. Electric Co-operative said. “It is so expensive nowa- days for a family to go to a movie theatre. We feel that it is very important to give back to the community by helping the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce put on this great weekend.”
There will be both outdoor and indoor screenings. Indoor screenings will be held at the Kelleys Island Old Town Hall.
The outdoor screenings will be held at the Ball Field with an impressive inflatable screen and sound system. In the event of inclement weather, the outdoor screenings will be moved to the Town Hall. For out- door showings, make sure you bring what you need to be comfortable – blankets, chairs, golf carts, cars, or trucks. The Film Fest is a popular and family-friendly event with various movies at different showtimes.
The showings will be done in old-fashioned drive-in theatre style. There will be a nice mix of double and triple features, there is something for every member of the family from toddler to grandma and grandpa.
The fun begins on Friday, July 27 when super hero Black Panther hits the screen at 7 p.m. inside Kelleys Island Old Town Hall. Then Following Black Panther at dusk, the Greatest Showman will put the night cap on the opening night from the Kelleys Island film fest.
