Island Fest Continued from page 1
July 21 is a “Bonus Day” for vendors at the park.
And you won’t have to do “the swim” to get there. Despite the high lake levels this year, Kelleys Island is a happening place.
“Island Fest is a tradition going back over 25 years. It has wonderful vendors and is really a great family event,” said Tina Callari, President of the Chamber and owner of Chicklet’s Closet.

Saturday is far out! It starts with the Island Fest Parade at 10:45 a.m. followed by the noon Open- ing Ceremony. There will be live entertainment all day long with DC Taylor (an acoustic duo) and The Keith Stewart Experience on the stage.
“The park will be like a “Love In” with tie-dyed shirts and hippie themed activities,” said Jordan Killam, Director of the Chamber.

“All of the vendors in the park will be artisans making handmade prod- ucts. You’ll be supporting people from the local com- munity and beyond,” Kil- lam added.
The day wraps up with a street dance featuring DJ Kiss of Class playing dance music and new hits for the kids, from 8 to 11 p.m. Young and old can do the mashed potato or line dance the night away. It ends with a bang as fire- works light up the sky be- ginning at about 9:45.
