Fremont Hosts Go Green Garden Market
Downtown Fremont Inc. will be hosting its annual Go Green Garden Market, sponsored by Crown Battery, on Front St. July 21, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendance to the market will be free to the public.
During the event, there will be a Fairy Garden con- test, with prizes provided by Elroy’s Deli Market, an Outrageous Garden Hat contest, with prizes provided by Down Thyme Café, and a Lawnmower Parade, with prizes provided by The Garrison Restaurant. Prizes for all con- tests will be $25 for first place, $15 for second place, and $10 for third place.
Judging for the Fairy Garden and Outrageous Garden Hat contests will begin at 12 p.m. and will be performed by volunteers from the Sandusky and Ottawa County Master Gardeners, who will also be doing Fairy Garden demonstrations at 10 and 11 a.m.
Front St. will be closed 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. from Croghan St. to Birchard Ave. for this event.
Downtown Fremont Inc. also has many more free events planned in the coming months, so stay tuned and follow them on social media.

Guide To Local Activities Hot off the Press
The Port Clinton City School District, Magruder Hos- pital, the City of Port Clinton, and the Port Clinton Area Chamber teamed together to create the 2018 Guide to Lo- cal Activities. Guides are now available at the Chamber office located at 110 Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton. This Guide is a great community resource outlin- ing activities, summer camps, support groups and events in our community.
