Sample craft beer from regional brewers and cock- tails made from histor- ic recipes during a living history event on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Hayes Pres- idential Library & Muse- ums.
Craft beers, Cocktails and Crusaders is from 5 to 8 p.m. on the grounds of Spiegel Grove, the estate of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes.
This event coincides
with the special exhibit “Demon Rum & Cold Wa- ter:TheTwoSidesofTem- perance.”
While participants are enjoying their beer and cocktail samples, costumed living history presenters portraying temperance ad- vocates in the late 1800s will interact with them and encourage them to give up the drink.
