Footprints
On Hearts
On each and every face we meet is a story of a heart.
Someone has left a footprint there, an emotional work of art.
Some wear a frown upon their brow as if their life is torn apart.
Some have sadness in their eyes at the loss of a loved one.
Some faces have a look of longing just to see the sun.
Then there are those whose stories have only just begun.
Each one is facing issues that left a footprint on their heart. Someone has touched their lives with love or taken love apart.
How can we make a difference in a moment, at the start?
Some show a sign of worry or perhaps it is of fear.
Maybe a loved one is the cause as they hold them very dear.
How can we make a difference? Can we wipe away a tear?
Some faces glow with happiness. Some beam with utter joy. Some smile in spite of all their pain, their hearts not to destroy. Kindness is our gift to share, for all who meet us to enjoy.
Each and every face is a story yet to tell. If we walked in their shoes, would we handle it as well? Today, let’s try our best to give a smile and do our part
To leave a gentle imprint of a footprint on a heart.
