At Kelleys Island

For a fine dining experience, hop the ferry to Kelleys Island and visit The Island House. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in the former home of Henry Trieschman, an early Kelleys Island settler, the property has been owned for the last three years by Brett and Lynn Maiers. With comfortable seating for 50 indoors and another 100 outdoors, it’s the perfect location for enjoying
island breezes.
Chef Brittany Bissell was pursuing a career in graphic design for a plastics manufacturer when she noticed an ad for a morning chef on Kelleys Island. On a whim, she decided to apply for the eventual career and lifestyle change. “I was always infatuated with feeding
people and giving them happy bellies and it’s been wonderful,” Brittany emphasized.
The full time Kelleys Island resident describes island life as “a solitary community where everyone depends on each other” and that suits her just fine. “I’m very happy being a part of the
