the Skies
The sun is sitting lower now. The trees are changing too. The shadows just get longer As Fall begins anew.
Each day God takes His paintbrush And more color He applies. When I look up to thank Him
I see ribbons in the skies.
The air is getting crisper
As we see the harvest moon. The days are getting shorter and Nighttime comes too soon.
Yes, the birds are on the move again To where warmer weather lies,
And calls keep coming overhead From ribbons in the skies.
