Martha & Molly’s, Marblehead

Lee and Cynthia Walker, owners of Martha & Molly’s, enjoy getting to know their customers while offering stylish shoes
and Marblehead-inspired clothing.

Lee retired, and Cynthia accepted a position with Buckeye Association of School Administrators. The couple purchased the Marblehead shop to help “bring quality and style to the North Coast and to become the go-to shoe store.” Embracing the previous owners’ Minnetonka footwear line, they have added many other styles, including Charleston Shoe Co. (of which they are one of only two Ohio retailers) and European-inspired Spring Footwear. Martha & Molly’s t-shirt and sweatshirt designs reflect the beauty and history of the area. Hello -
...and, welcome 2021! I am excited to report that
this year we are celebrating Leisure Living Magazine’s 16th Anniversary! So much has happened since we launched this publication. Early on we went through an economic downturn, recently a global pandemic and the highest lake levels ever recorded on Lake Erie. On the plus side, we’ve seen how our readers and advertisers have overcome challenges. Baby Boomers are not only resilient but also caring, giving and creative!
Our cover illustrates the creativity of just one of our local businesses. Melissa Skinner and her husband Chris operate Marblehead Galley. They provided the mouth- watering photo of some of their famous desserts that
we are featuring. Their restaurant is one of the great locally-owned venues that make this a special place.
We are truly blessed to celebrate 16 years sharing the stories of businesses, people and great places locally. Personally, I have enjoyed getting to know the volun- teers who help to make this a great place to live and work. So, enjoy the spring weather and the opportunity to discover new adventures this year.
