Chef In The Spotlight Rudy’s Bar and Grill In Vermilion

“Rudy’s, in a nutshell, is like the old TV show Cheers!” exclaims Sara Stepp, who along with her husband Rudy, owns the oldest pub in the Vermilion area, Rudy’s Bar and Grill. “You will most likely see the same characters in the same seats when you visit us. We love our regulars! There is a warm and welcoming feeling here, and the mahogany bar and woodwork makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.”
Conveniently located on Liberty Avenue in downtown Vermilion, Rudy’s has been a “must go to” for burger and wing lovers for 15 years. “We love being able to give back to the community,” stresses Sara. “We love every bit of being a part of this beautiful town.” Their
beloved regulars are not just locals, however—Rudy’s enjoys a following from Sandusky to North Ridgeville to Avon Lake.
“Our food has transcended this neighborhood bar into a food destination,” Sara proudly points out.
While Rudy’s juicy 1⁄2 lb burgers and mouth-wa- tering wings never fail to quiet many a growling stomach, plenty of other freshly made menu items exit the kitchen every day, all day. Crisp sal- ads, several kinds of wraps, generous sandwiches including the Po-Boy, and a variety of grilled and fried starters ensure that there is something to satisfy everyone’s palate. “Our Thursday Steak Night is a deal that can’t be beat!” adds Sara.
