She feels that the most valuable colors are or- ange, yellow and red. While many people search for cobalt blue, she prefers the lighter cornflower blue which she feels is more striking.
Other collectible pieces in her shop are shiny, white “lucky stones.” Crystal says, “They are
gathered from the eardrums of drum fish (sheep head). They date back to the time of the Indians who wore them to ward off sickness. Upon close examination, the fragments have a coveted “L” for luck or “J” for joy on them.”
Crystal’s charming shop is, indeed, a quaint treasure box. Brimming with a wide variety of cuteness she offers something for everyone. To provide more merchandise selection, tucked into every nook and cranny are designs purchased from local artists: infinity scarves, cross body bags, soaps, witches balls, bottle openers and planters. It’s the “go to” place for beach glass col- lectors’ bags. She describes them as “UV protect- ed mess bags that allow sand and water to fall off during collection.”
She emphasizes, “I am not a businessperson. I am a creator.”
