kind and spunky and caring and intuitive and empathetic, if a horse can be. Her purposes in my life have been adventurer, motivator, sup- porter, companion, friend, dream-maker, and my inspiration. Of course, with a horse Maggie’s age, what crosses my mind when I’m with her is, “What if this is the last time we’ll see each oth- er?” Even though I don’t see her absence in the near future, I am well aware of the circle of life. I know that I am blessed for every moment I have spent and will spend with this special soul. I am grateful for her coming into my life, for I would surely be a different person, and it would be a life less colorful and emptier, without her at my side for the last 26 years.
