Verandah Concert To Feature ‘50s -‘70s Songs
A vocal ensemble will perform songs of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s at the next Verandah Concert at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
Nostalgia will perform on the verandah of the his- toric Hayes Home at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Ad- mission is free.
Visitors can bring a lawnchairorblanketfor seating on the expansive lawn. They are also wel- come to bring snacks or a picnic.
In order to maintain safety, visitors are asked to keep at least 6 feet of dis- tance between their house- hold group and other visi- tors. Household groups can be as small as one person.

Nostalgia is a four-member singing group whose music includes songs from the big band/Jazz era, ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, sacred songs that include hymns and praise and worship numbers and a selection of Christmas music.
Nostalgiagotitsstart in June of 2015 perform- ing for a summer concert series in Liberty Center, Ohio. Since then, the group has been singing for senior centers, rest homes, sum- mer concert events, fall fes- tivals, county fairs, dance events, church events and Christmas events.

Firelands Symphony Orchestra has named Tricia Applegate as its new executive director. Applegate, who began her new position June 10, has over 30 years of arts management experience.
With an undergraduate degree in music and business from Heidelberg University and masters degree in arts administration from the University of Akron, career roots with the Ashland
are: Bev Ernst, of Delta, Ohio; Dan Seedorf, of Lib- erty Center, Ohio; Mark Schwiebert, of Hamler, Ohio; and Garry Cline, of Delta, Ohio.
Ernst is a retired teach- er with the Pike, Delta, York School System and di- rector of the Delta Commu- nity Band. Seedorf is choir director and organist at St. PaulLutheranChurchin Liberty Center and a mem- ber of the Henry County Chorale.
Schwiebert is co-own- er in a family run busi- ness “New Vision Farms” and member of the Henry County Chorale. Cline is a retired music teacher with Fort Wayne Commu- nity School System, Fort
Symphony Orchestra leading to many years of working for Ashland University Departments of Music and Theatre along with utilizing her entrepreneurial skills as the founding director of a community school of the arts, the variety of Applegate’s professional experience offers a collection of resources to advance the FSO into its future.
