Chef Chuck Wegner Continued from page 2
Wegner prefers ‘speak for yourself flavors’ with daily and weekend specials like melt-in-your-mouth black- ened chicken Florentine with wild mushrooms and herb roasted tomato cream. Ohio free range chickens from Amish farms along with meats, poultry and seafood are bought from local markets to assure freshness. Ohio grown liv-
ing greens are cooler stored until served in crisp, fresh salads. A popular summer- time favorite is the water- melon and mint salad in- corporating mixed greens, cucumbers and tomato. Another “not-to-be-missed” dish is the stuffed avocado with mango salsa.
Indulge in blackened jumbo sea scallops with fettuccine Alfredo, luscious
seared ahi #1 tuna or Cape Cod raw oysters on the half shell, which are featured as occasional specials.
Wegner’s future plans include possible beer and wine pairing events along with a fall clambake.

ence, setting the tone for enjoyable dining. From the patio, picturesque views of Sandusky Bay can be seen.
Landmark is co-owned by David Bier and Dawson Foster who also co-own the Shore House Tavern. Bier also operates another down-
town Sandusky restaurant, Daly’s Pub. Bier says, “Landmark is in a great lo- cation and a nice building that compliments what is already there. Our recep- tion has been great from tourists and locals.”
With total control of the
menu, Chef Wegner and his kitchen support team serve lunches and dinners inside the 144 seat restaurant and 40 seat outside patio. He takes creative respon- sibility over the buying and preparation. They also have an on-site herb garden for quick picking, ensuring the freshest ingredients.
