Mulberry Creek Herb Farm isn’t holding special events this year, and hours are by chance or appointment until September. However, the owners are doing something new – not only inviting visitors to enjoy the farm as a pic- nic location, but also welcoming the visitors’ dogs as well! Dogs are welcomed at other local areas, too. Put-in-Bay now has Island Paws Dog Park on Airline Drive near the island airport. The Bark Until Dark Dog Park is on South Bridge Road in Marblehead. The MetroPark Dog Park is
Aug. 28, and the Canal Street String Band will perform at 3 pm Sunday, Sept. 13. The first is Appalachian roots music, and the second is folk music. Both seem perfect for an outside concert!
The Walk To End Alzheimer’s is Sept. 20 “in” Sandusky. It’s not actually in Sandusky. There will be no large gath- ering. Instead, participants can register, raise money, and walk on their own or with a small group. I wish I lived in a world without Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
