Each year the quartets plan their own selection of songs to sing and always deliver on their performances. This event started with a man who has a cottage on Mid- dle Bass Island. His neighbor back home was part of a quartet and he asked him to come to the island and sing. The next year there were two quartets and every year it kept growing. The performers still stay on Middle Bass Island each year and on Saturday night, August 11, will entertain at the Middle Bass Island Town Hall at 7 pm.
Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial has a long history of celebrating peace through music. The an- nual Barbershop Quartet Concert is one of many musical programs hosted at the National Park here.
