Third Thursday Comes
To Vermilion Shoreline
The quaint shoreline city of Vermilion is a fitting setting for the summer, monthly event Third Thursday, Flowers and a Sunset. Experience an abundance of musi- cal entertainment while you stroll the streets. Stop along the way to listen to your favorites and end the day with a brilliant Lake Erie sunset.
Third Thursday is a unique experience with upward of 30 musical performers, from bands to solos to karaoke per- forming simultaneously at various locations throughout downtown Vermilion. Escape the XBox and Playstations one night a month for this outstanding family experience.
Expect some Classic Rock, Country, Motown, Pop, a ukulele player and a bagpiper. There will be new groups as well as the old favorites like Mike Moore, the Four Dads, and Beth Magers.
Get acquainted with Vermilion, it’s lovely shoreline setting and charming shops while treating yourself to an evening of music. Final dates for the 2018 season are Au- gust 16 and September 20.
Presented By Firelands Symphony Orchestra
The Sandusky Bay Pavilion will be the venue (weath- er permitting) for a free concert performed in honor of the Sandusky Bicentennial on Sunday, August 19 at 7pm. The event will feature the full Firelands Symphony Orchestra with Carl Topilow, Music Director and Conductor. In the event of rain, the Sandusky State Theatre will be the al- ternate location.
Joining the orchestra will be guest artist, Dan May, an assortment of area gospel choirs, and local High School Bands. Food and beverage vendors will be on hand to quench your thirst and hunger. A dazzling fireworks dis- play will be the finale of the evening.
The Sandusky Bicentennial Committee is sponsoring the event with The Lange Trust of the Sandusky Library as the Guest Artist Sponsor.
